Integration (Growth Direction)

The direction of integration — the growth arrow — is the type whose healthy qualities you spontaneously gain as your own pattern relaxes: 1→7, 2→4, 3→6, 4→1, 5→8, 6→9, 7→5, 8→2, 9→3. The design principle underneath: every type grows toward what it rationed. The One rationed play and grows toward Seven’s spontaneity; the Eight rationed tenderness and grows toward Two’s open heart.

Two clarifications keep the concept honest. Integration doesn’t change your type — a One with good Seven-access is a joyful One, not a Seven; the arrow describes a resource, not a destination. And the movement can be practiced deliberately rather than awaited: scheduling your growth type’s most characteristic small behavior (the Nine putting its own goal first on Saturday morning, doing Three-work on purpose) is exposure practice with a map, and it works at homeopathic doses.

Expect growth to feel wrong at first — you’re spending the currency your pattern spent a lifetime hoarding, and the alarm that produces is the sign you’re on path, not off it. The paired concept is disintegration, the stress direction; together the two arrows compress your whole development map into two lines. The arrows guide covers mechanics and misconceptions; each type guide pairs its arrow with three starter practices.
